Asset ESG Initiative Plans
Performance & Investor Reporting REWM
Our Client was seeking to establish and continually evolve its ESG approach across a mixed group of UK assets, spanning operational buildings, developments and future development opportunities, each with different uses, users, management arrangements and levels of operational control.
The opportunity was not to apply the same ESG requirements to every asset, but to create a framework that aligned overarching objectives with what was relevant and achievable in each building. Successfully doing so would ensure ESG priorities supported individual asset business plans while creating a credible, auditable view of performance across the wider group.
LifeProven developed an ESG Strategy that established the overarching objectives for the group of assets, while allowing priorities to be tailored to each asset’s use, objectives and level of operational control.
Working with property and general managers, we translated the Strategy into asset-specific ESG Initiative Plans, identifying and prioritising improvements so teams understand what should be progressed, when and why. Performance is then captured through a consistent evidence base and reported at the frequency required, giving BlackRock and its investors clear visibility of progress while ensuring activity remains proportionate and relevant.
