Compound Real Estate saw an opportunity to transform an ageing industrial site into a high-performing self-storage development that could deliver more than its core use by combining strong environmental performance with meaningful benefits for the local community.
Achieving this meant balancing ambitious sustainability targets, planning requirements and commercial objectives within a technically complex design. Successfully embedding these priorities would help secure planning while creating a resilient asset with stronger environmental, social and long-term value.
LifeProven approached sustainability as a driver of planning, commercial and community value rather than a compliance exercise. We focused effort where it could materially strengthen the scheme, helping the team make better-informed decisions without losing sight of viability or delivery.
By considering environmental performance alongside social value and long-term operation, we helped shape a development that could outperform planning requirements, respond positively to its community and create a more resilient proposition for owners and future occupiers.
